Personal Branding Shoot for an Independent Nurse
The images on this blog post come from a personal branding shoot for an Independent Nurse. Caroline is a Nurse Prescriber based in Olney, near Milton Keynes. She has specialist qualifications in women’s health, menopause, and family planning.
Caroline contacted me for some up-to-date images of herself. She didn’t need a full branding shoot in different locations, she just needed a few images to use on her socials Caroline does talks and keynote speeches, so she also needed images for that purpose. My mini-branding shoot was ideal for this client. The session takes around an hour and allows for a few different set ups and quick clothing changes.
Pre-shoot Planning and Mood Board
For Caroline I created a fairly simple mood board. We focussed mostly on her clothing. We wanted images wearing scrubs to show the practical nursing side of the job. We also wanted photos in normal business clothing for other aspects of her work. The resulting images show both professional expertise and approachability, capturing someone who is a good listener that reassures people.
We wanted to capture images of Caroline on her own, as well as speaking with patients. I keep my shoots relaxed and fun, so we often have some laughs along the way.
Day-to-day working shots
Personal branding images need to show the the day-to-day parts of the job. In Caroline’s case this is working with clients, but also working alone, since every job involves a certain amount of admin. You can find Caroline’s LinkedIn profile here.
Locations – both indoors and outdoors
Caroline’s work is health related, so I wanted to ensure we took a few pictures outdoors in nature.
Personal images for social media profiles
I always aim to take relaxed, authentic images that show you ‘off duty.’ One way to do this is to take an image with a pet. A photo of you hugging your dog is a great way to show a little more of your personality.
