Personal Branding Shoot for Travel Consultant

Branding shoots are completely bespoke depending on your profession and personality. You are unique so your shoot will be unique to you. This post features a personal branding shoot I did with an independent travel consultant.

Sinead’s Luxe Travels is travel company specialising in Luxury Travel. Sinead also has a young family so has a wealth of knowledge about family friendly travel options. She is constantly on the go, working from anywhere and we were keen to ensure the images caught that side of her business. She was even re-arranging travel for someone during our shoot. They were in a different time zone and needed flights changed urgently. This really did demonstrate that Sinead is always there for her clients.

Pre-shoot Planning and Mood Board

My shoot process always includes looking at what makes you different from your competitors and showing your personality. What are your brand values? What do your images need to say. I always have a play on Pinterest and create a mood board. Then we discuss image ideas to ensure we are both on the same page.

Sinead chose some beautiful colours for her outfit changes, so the images were really vibrant and colourful. I wanted to create a feeling of joy and relaxation that evokes holidays as well as showing that the business is constantly busy.

Showing the client working from anywhere

In order to show Sinead working on the go, we picked a range of locations. She will work from home, from coffee shops, in car waiting to pick the kids up from school. She might also we working in a restaurant or bar.

Location, Location, Location

People running travel businesses are usually passionate about travelling themselves and Sinead is no exception. As much as I’d have loved to jump on a plane and go somewhere glam for the images we had to be creative with UK locations. I love finding ways to be creative during your shoot and I also have “weather fairies” who ensure the sun shines when needed. So we managed to have perfect weather on the day of the shoot, and choose a hotel with a pretty garden. The result lent a sense of Mediterranean sunshine to the images.

Having taken a few shots in different places, we headed back to Sinead’s home for a final few images wrapping up in time for her to do the school run. The mum juggle is real.

Relaxed and natural branding images

My aim is to make the shoot as relaxed as possible. Most people tell me they enjoyed the shoot much more than they thought they would which is wonderful feedback. We take plenty of time in the planning and on the day of the shoot to ensure we get the best possible images.

Images for your social media profiles

People often book a personal branding shoot to refresh website images, but we also need content so having lots of images in a library that you can use on social media is a real bonus. I take lots of shots along the way to give you as much of a range as possible.
