Dating Profile Photography in Milton Keynes and Bedford

One of my services is providing dating profile photography in Milton Keynes and Bedford. Of course, you could get a friend to take some phone snaps, or you could take a few selfies. But in order for someone to swipe right or stay on your profile for a while, it’s best to have some good images. Flattering, attractive images of you that show you as your best self. Finding a photographer who can take some natural photos of you will give you best chance of getting noticed.
We can start by having a zoom chat, so I can get to know you. We will work out locations and the best way to show your interests and hobbies in the pictures. Dating profile photography should look as natural and relaxed as possible, so I take these images in the same way as I take personal branding images. Check out several examples of my branding photography style here.
We don’t have to zoom if this is uncomfortable for you, but I find that chatting beforehand means you will feel more relaxed for the actual shoot.

You need to look like YOU – Catfishing is not recommended
There’s nothing worse than putting images on your dating profile that are old or heavily filtered. Potential dates need to trust they are meeting the person they see in the photo. So, you need to look like YOU. Most importantly you need to look like you NOW, not you from 10 years ago. You don’t need to be looking at the camera for all the images, in fact it’s best if you are looking away in a few of them, but a few good headshots with eye contact are important for creating that sense of trust. ** The headshots below were taken for LinkedIn profiles, but the principle is the same.

Photography for dating profiles should look natural. We usually start with a cup of tea or coffee somewhere, because it gives us a chance to chat. We may sit in a cafe for a while, and get a couple of shots while we are there. Or we can get a takeaway and take a walk together. Normally we do both. I usually shoot with a mixture of my phone and my DSLR camera, so some of the images look a little more casual. ** The images below were taken on personal branding shoots with female entrepreneurs.

Hobbies and interests – showing who you are
Getting a sense of what you enjoy doing works really well in dating profile images. Perhaps you love to hike or you are a fan of the gym. Maybe you spend your spare time horse riding or love spending time with your dog. Whatever your interests we will try to show these in your photos. We usually need a mixture of headshots, full body shots, indoor and outdoor shots for variety ** Again these images were taken for branding shoots.

Dating profile photography needs to be give a real sense of what you like to spend time doing when you aren’t working. If I was to show my interests this might include walking by the sea and exploring quaint villages. Perhaps your idea of a perfect weekend is taking the dog for a walk, having a Sunday roast at a local pub, then cozying up by a blazing fire? Those are things I love to do too.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that your images lead to a match
Whether you aim for breakfast, lunch or dinner, morning coffee, an afternoon beer or evening cocktails, I hope you meet someone perfect for you. If not, I hope you at least have some fun kissing a few frogs along the way.

So, if you are dipping your toe in the dating pool, why not get some images that show the best version of yourself.
Let’s chat and we can plan the ideal places for you to have images. We’ll allow for a couple of changes of clothes along the way, so you have variety in your shots. Contact me here to arrange zoom chat or give me a call.
Images above were taken in a variety of locations including Durdle Door in Dorset. Castle Coombe in the Cotswolds and Copenhagen.
